Early 20th century.
These French display or curio cabinets were very sought after in the last century. French furniture was held in high regard for its quality and decorative styles. It had international appeal being in demand across various continents. The cabinet is sometimes referred to with the French term as a vitrine.
The painted panels could on first hand inspection be found to be prints provided with the appearance to the surface of hand painting. They are inspired by the eighteenth century paintings of the French artist Jean-Antoine Watteau. Generally these French pieces had gilt metal mounts to provide the decorative moldings and details. From the images this example appears to have composition moldings.
